Discover Simsbury
I love driving up to Simsbury.
It’s a quiet, charming suburban town filled with scenic places to take pictures.
Like Talcott Mountain State Park, the Old Drake Hill Flower Bridge, Rosedale Farms & Vineyards, Heublein Tower, and Stratton Brook State Park.
Best Places to Take Pictures and Eat in Simsbury Connecticut
Heublein Tower
The tower in Talcott Mountain State Park offers great panoramic views. We’ll have to hike to get there, but the photos once we reach the top are worth it!
Millwright’s Restaurant
This popular restaurant offers outdoor dining and a brunch service on Saturdays and Sundays. And the dining room is picturesque!! It has views of the water, falls, wood ceilings, and a rustic natural vibe.
Talcott Mountain
Take pictures as you walk the vast and beautiful recreational area. It’s known for its hiking trails, picnic spots, and the iconic Heublein Tower.
Stratton Brook State Park
This is a great park for pictures and has something for everyone. There’s a flowing stream for fishing, a pond, a beachfront area, trails, a bathhouse, a covered bridge, picnic benches, and more.
Old Drake Hill Flower Bridge
The Bridge makes a beautiful backdrop for special occasion photos, weddings, proms, or parties. It’s 1 of 3 surviving Parker truss bridges, a unique type of design popular in the late 1800s. (Note: The Bridge is currently closed for construction)
